About

Hi, I’m Becky. After graduating from university last year I moved to the lovely City of Leeds, UK and have been exploring the city ever since. I started this blog to combine my love of the city with my passion to become a writer. Sorry, I mean a paid writer.

So far I have been lucky enough to be involved with quite a few projects; however, I’m always on the lookout for more. I currently contribute to both The Daily Touch and Yuppee Mag. Besides working on whatever projects come my way, I also regularly contribute to the Leeds Debacle magazine. I am looking to kickstart my writing career so please tweet or message me if you would like me to get involved with anything, especially if it’s Leeds based.

I am a keen writer, creative or otherwise. Aside from journalism my ultimate ambitions include surviving the apocalypse and becoming a successful fiction writer (although, I suppose that depends on the success of my first ambition).  Hell, I just love to write…

    • Thank you for your lovely words! Taking on contributors is something I would love to look at doing, so long as the content and writing style fitted in with my own. If they are interested in collaborating with Views of Eye, please get them to drop me an email with an example of a piece of writing at rebeccajackson508@hotmail.com 🙂

  12. Thank you for checking out my blog, I appreciate your like on my post Artistic Licence.
I love your passion for your local area. I live in a small town which is home to many independant traders and it is fab! The problem is the high turnaround and lack of longeivity. It would be terrific to see more indeoendant traders and less of the big brands, after all that is what gives a place its character.

  16. You really have a good command of the language which I believe would help you achieved your ambition. Do your websites you write on accept foreign contributors? Thank you for reading my blog. It was an honor.

    • Thank you very much for your kind words 🙂 I’m not sure but all contributions are done solely online so there’s a good chance they would accept foreign contributions. If you follow the links to the website above you can message them. Yuppee Mag is probably your best bet as they’re always looking for contributors. Good luck!

  17. Appreciate you liking my blog. Always nice to hear from folks outside the US.
I’m like you, an aspiring writer, someday it would be nice to get paid for it. I’ve only had one story published, and that was in an Indian newsweekly. I’m also working on getting into fiction, that seems tougher than reality though. Anyway, write away, it’s good for the soul.
